Read moreThe farmhouse is located on the first hill of Portovenere in an elevated and panoramic position with an open view of the Gulf of Poets and a view as far as the Apuan Alps.
The property is immersed in a park of 9,000 square metres that is entirely fenced in, partially terraced with typical 'dry walls' and characterised by typical Mediterranean scrub vegetation, holm oaks and olive trees. It is accessed through an electric gate, which leads by means of a private driveway to the entrance of the property.
The dwelling, completely clad in stone and newly furnished, was the subject of a recent major architectural renovation of the existing rural building.
The property is spread over two floors: on the ground floor we find the sleeping area, consisting of four bedrooms and two bathrooms; on the first floor the large living area with exposed beams, featuring a fireplace connected for space heating and domestic water heating, the dining area and the kitchen.
In the outdoor areas there is a large shed for storing tools and materials, two wooden sheds for storing tools, a large stone barbecue, shower and sink area.
The property is completed by the surrounding land on which there are also two other rustic cottages that can be recovered: a smaller one measuring approximately 25 m2 and a larger one upstream of the house measuring approximately 100 m2. Possibility of building a swimming pool.
It is possible to walk to the centre of Portovenere via the path leading to the Cinque Terre and the 'Alta via del Golfo'.
Great privacy.
Of very ancient origins, Portovenere probably owes its name to the presence of a small pagan temple dedicated to the Goddess Venus. It is characterised by the imposing Doria Castle with the fortifications connected to it, and by the 'Palazzata', an uninterrupted row of narrow, vertically developed, colourful 'tower-houses', one next to the other, culminating in the stairway leading to the Church of San Pietro and the famous Byron grotto. The village, together with the Palmaria Island archipelago, is a Unesco World Heritage Site and is protected by the Regional Nature Park of the same name.
