Inside the castle, the various rooms are furnished with elegance and refinement, embellished with period frescoes, wood and mosaic floors, antique furniture, crystal chandeliers and chairs with fine fabrics.
The residence, with an internal surface area of 2,500 square metres on three floors, houses a vast reception hall, a majestic living room with a billiard table, a library, a dining room, a kitchen, two bedrooms and bathrooms. Each room is characterised by sumptuous antique fireplaces and Baroque finishes, with large windows overlooking the beautiful surrounding park. A sumptuous marble staircase leads to the second floor, where three flats and a chapel are located, accessible via a charming arched corridor. The main tower offers spacious bedrooms, bathrooms and a magnificent roof terrace. The basement houses the armoury, an event kitchen and a wine cellar.
Outside, the castle is surrounded by a magnificent park with a variety of plants and trees.
Historically, the castle belonged to the Counts Valperga of Massino until the 16th century, then to the Marquises Graneris de la Roche until the 18th century, when it passed to the Marquises Compans of Brichanteau Challant, linked to the royal family of Savoy. In the 20th century, architect Jean Chevalley was commissioned to restore this enchanting residence.
The property covers approximately 2 hectares of land, with an Italian-style garden and a private secular wood. The forest offers the possibility of peaceful walks, while a specially equipped riding area is perfect for special events. With its spectacular panoramic views that change with the seasons, the Castle is an authentic historical jewel.
