Leggi di piùThe villa was built in an exclusive and private location with a splendid panoramic view of the picturesque Gulf of Alassio. Immersed in a large private park of 3,000 square metres, distributed over three large terraces, perfectly landscaped with lawns and enclosed by walls and corten steel, the villa was designed by an architect from Turin with the aim of uniting modernity and tradition, designed as a parallelepiped with rounded corners 'resting' on the stone of the original rustic building, with a careful choice of contrasting materials: sandstone plaster, split stone, iron, glass. The upper part, facing south, rests on the stone basement exposed to the south-east, thus obtaining a displacement that allows the shaded area in front of the house to be used as a portico. The property, which has been skilfully and tastefully cared for down to the smallest detail, has a total internal surface area of approximately 500 square metres and consists of an exclusive main villa, in which elegance and refinement are combined with state-of-the-art technology, and an autonomous and separate annexe, which directly overlooks the swimming pool.
On the ground floor is a spacious and functional kitchen and a large living room with study. The upper floor leads to the sleeping area consisting of 3 bedrooms with bathrooms. On the basement floor, bright thanks to the large windows overlooking the garden, we find a leisure area, some bedrooms and two bathrooms. The large 15x6m swimming pool and a convenient covered garage, as well as a large outdoor area behind the villa that can accommodate up to 12 cars, complete the property.
There is the possibility of building a third lot for residential use with a garage.
Alassio is nestled in the 'Bay of the Sun'. It is a popular seaside resort and tourist destination thanks to a sandy shore over 3 km long. There are also pure waters (beautiful seabed and a variety of marine 'inhabitants') and a climate that always ensures a good temperature. Opposite is the Gallinara Island, where the herring gull nests. The marina has 450 berths.
The name of Alassio is also linked to the 'Muretto' invented by Mario Berrino, owner of the Caffè Roma, and the writer Ernest Hemingway. Back in the 1950s, Berrino wanted to embellish the wall of the public gardens. He thought of ceramic tiles autographed by famous people: the first were Hemingway, the Cetra Quartet and Cosimo Di Ceglie (about 740 were added). There is also the statue of the lovers (according to summer custom). The 'Miss Muretto' contest is held here. The old town centre runs alongside the beach with the fishermen's houses and Via XX Settembre, which tourists know as 'budello', but which remains a typical Ligurian 'caruggiu' among shops and prestigious shops. Then there are Alassio's countless hotels and historic buildings: Palazzo Ferrero de Gubernatis ('700), Palazzo Scofferi (another branch) in Via Veneto and, turning into Via Milite Ignoto, the Palazzi Vallega, Brea (Via Dante) and Montanaro (Piazza Della Valle). Next to the sea runs the Ciccione promenade dotted with pine trees: don't miss the view from the Bestoso pier. Alassio has typical products to taste: from fish cured meats (bottarga, mosciame, ventresca) to desserts (baci). And don't forget a good glass of wine (from the Albenga plain), perhaps a Pigato.
